Cook Less To Weigh Less

By on August 21, 2009

Master Cleanse officially over… easing my way back to eating. Summer is a great time to do an extended fast because we tend to eat less.

I’ve done this a handful of times, however this last Master Cleanse was a very powerful cleanse. Mind and spirit were renewed beyond any other cleanse I’ve done, and I’ve done a lot! Attending 2 funerals this week also had me “thinking” a lot.

Not sure how much weight I lost, don’t own a scale, don’t care, and don’t need to lose weight. I’ve helped clients who base their progress entirely on their scale. If you eat healthy most hours of the day and days of the week, weight will never be an issue.

Cooking less to weigh less is not a diet…

A diet quite frankly deprives you of food, calorie (and then some). ANYONE can lose weight on fewer calories and we don’t need to pay someone to tell us that! I’ve known (and read of) many who don’t keep the weight off long term. Diets are too regimented – they increase the chance of binging. The following can help you keep the weight off once and for all…

Cooking less allows you to have your favorite dishes, only difference is you’ll be having them one at a time. Simply add a salad or side veggie and omit a cooked side. This is proper food combining (AKA natural hygiene) that can help you lose weight and live longer. All without dieting! Proper food combining t is easier on our digestive system and waistline. The book Fit For Life, by Marilyn and Harvey Diamond is a wonderful little book that explains much more. This is the book that got me started on eating more healthily. If you decide to read, read the original from the late 80’s.

Health, healing, & happiness start with what’s at the end of you fork…
