PAIN And All Its Glory?

By on December 20, 2014

YEP! Although a 4-Letter Word, we must learn to rise above it.

“The great art of life is sensation, to feel that we exist, even in pain.” ~Lord Byron~

INDEED–existence sure beats the alternative!

If you or someone you know is suffering from pain, this article and documentary may be of benefit. Not everyone experiences pain the same. Sure there will always be hypochondriacs and those who think about nothing more than their own pain, thereby giving it a snowball effect. However, we must never underestimate another person’s pain. Sadly, some believe pain only when they experience it.

Because of my incredibly high tolerance to pain, most don’t realize (or believe) the amount I’m in. This from muscle spasms causing neck, back, hips, knees and more to go out. These, caused from having a rib removed, long story short. I’ve learned to live with all. Some muscle spasm have pulled so hard even my diaphragm got twisted, which then affected my breathing.

“The real problem is not why some pious, humble, believing people suffer, but why some do not.” ~C. S. Lewis~

Just when we think we know pain, it gets worse. However, there can come a time when it no longer controls you and instead, YOU control it! That’s me and much of it is mind over matter and really just having a reason to live. Aside from mind, my coping methods are diet and detox. Clean Body = Less Pain.

“The good news is that your pain response is not indelibly hardwired into you, in spite of your genetic predispositions and early childhood experiences. Studies show it’s possible to distract or “manipulate” your brain into responding differently to pain—excellent news if you are a chronic pain sufferer.” ~Dr. Mercola~

AGREED!

“The greatest evil is physical pain.” ~Saint Augustine~ **only if we give it power.
