Detox Your Needs Away – The Less Is More Approach

By on September 16, 2009

The more you own, the more it owns you. Having helped more than one person with cancer, I’ve seen many buying things they don’t need. A sense of not trusting. Buying or accumulating more to fill a gap, a void, a restlessness inside that no amount of things or pills can fill. Please know… this is not to single out cancer – clutter does not lead to cancer, however… a detox of body, mind, spirit, and surroundings will improve your energy and therefore your life.

Unease can lead to dis-ease.

Detoxing your environment and your body can free you up in ways you never dreamt possible. It can end the fat and fatigue – it can free your mind and spirit to do the things you were put on this earth to do. You can begin going with the flow instead of swimming upstream. No sense in drowning in stuff! Think you don’t have any? I consider myself a minimalist and I still feel like I’m choking at times with the amount of “stuff” I have. Having worked for Dr. Schulze at the American Botanical Pharmacy, I learned much about natural healing. I read lots about his former days od treating terminally ill patients. One part of his protocol was to help patient get rid of stuff. One patient he explains how she had anxiety and asthma (among other things). The thing that made the biggest difference in her life was when he had a a huge trash bin delivered outside her 2nd story building. He began throwing things out the window – after her initial shock, she suddenly felt free. Free of anxiety, free of breathing problems, free to let go of anything and everything that did not serve her or her health.

Do your friends, family, acquaintances, pets, health, emotional state, financial state, home, or vehicle give you energy or drain your energy? Knowing this is key to living long, naturally, and on purpose!

If you want to live a happy life, tie it to a goal, not to people or things.  ~Albert Einstein~
