Turmeric Band Aid?

By on March 10, 2015

yes and no.

Just as sugar and cayenne can be used to stop bleeding, aloe and tree sap can be applied to heal a wound. Aloe, being Mother Nature’s magic wand can also leave skin looking like new.

Enter the new kid on the block (for me at least). Turmeric! I’ve used it as a mask and it eat daily for pain and inflammation. But never a turmeric band aid.. I may however add a lil cayenne to this mix. Simply because cayenne increases circulation, and circulation speeds up healing.

A win-win we can all do ourselves. Thanks to this article and recipe:

“To make a healing paste with turmeric: Mix 1-2 tsp. of ground turmeric (depending on how large the wound is) with enough water to make a thick paste (generally about half the amount of turmeric you use).

Be sure to wash your hands and then apply the paste gently on the wound. (It should be pasty, so don’t expect it to look like a cream.) Once you’ve covered the infected area, place your bandage of choice over the wound. Let it sit for at least 12 hours, or up to 24. Do this for three days.”

“Healing is a matter of time, but it is sometimes also a matter of opportunity.” ~Hippocrates~

such as those found in nature…
